National Tribal Emergency Management Council offering amateur radio training


Staying connected during an emergency – such as Nooksack River flooding, volcanic activity at Mount Baker, or an earthquake – is key. From a workshop (tomorrow!) offering the basics of emergency radios to a six-week opportunity to become licensed as an amateur radio operator, the National Tribal Emergency Management Council has a lineup of lessons for tribal communities throughout August and September.

Events will take place:
