Youth internship with stipend offered in August

The Mt Baker Community Coalition is offering youth ages 14-22 a summer internship opportunity from August 15-19. Participants must reside within the Mount Baker School District and sign up by July 22. Transportation is available during the program.

The internship is focused on the prevention of youth substance use and will include lessons about prevention, health, resume-building, and more. Internship projects are youth-led and flexible, so long as they meet certain criteria. A $500 stipend will be provided upon completion of the einternship. Additional opportunities to earn cash will be offered, as well, including assisting with prevention campaigns for the school district the following week.

The Mt Baker Community Coalition (MBCC) includes youth-led and youth-serving organizations that promote healthy youth development and work to prevent youth substance abuse. We support positive mental health for youth and work to end youth suicide.

The coalition is coordinated through the nonprofit Whatcom Family & Community Network and partners with the Mount Baker School District and civic groups.
