The Nooksack Tribal Council voted on 2023 Whatcom County Endorsements this week. Candidates endorsed are:
Satpal Sidhu for Whatcom County Executive
Kim Lund for City of Bellingham Mayor
Donnell Tanksley for Whatcom County Sheriff
Jon Scanlon for County Council At-Large
Toni Jefferson for Ferndale School Board Position 3
The process to vet endorsements included a lengthy questionnaire made available to candidates of the races included regarding important issues that protect tribal sovereignty, tribal treaty rights, local issues and more.
We encourage everyone age 18+ to make sure you are registered to vote, and to make sure you VOTE in the 2023 elections. The General Election Day is November 7th.
