Early Childhood Education

Nooksack House of Children Head Start

Head Start is a comprehensive preschool program for children ages 3 to 5 from income eligible families. The Nooksack House of Children Head Start provides children and families with information and access to child health and development, nutrition, behavioral health, family goal setting and resources.

To support health & wellness and school readiness children receive developmental, behavioral, motor, language, social, cognitive, and social-emotional screenings. The House of Children works directly with Tribal health partners to ensure children receive dental and vision screenings, behavioral health services, and parents and families have access to health education and resources.

Mission

It is the mission of the Head Start Program to provide services and support to children, families and their community. Through partnerships with other community resources we will respectfully identify the needs of children, families and community members while striving to strengthen, educate and empower each by providing opportunities to participate in culturally enriched Early Childhood programs.

We are Now Enrolling for Fall 2023-24 Program Year
